This long sleeve tee is woven entirely in Japan from tightly spun, 16‑count air‑spun yarn, and features a dry, vintage‑textured finish. Allan Kaprow coined the term “Happening” in the late 1950s to describe his unscripted, participatory performance-art events—hybrid assemblages of everyday actions, visual elements, sounds, and audience involvement that blurred the line between art and life.

Chris Gentile established Pilgrim Surf + Supply in Williamsburg in 2012. The quiet corner of Brooklyn would soon be transformed with the shop becoming a gathering space, for artists, surfers and the local community, as well as a touchpoint for independent retail and what could be achieved. Soon the tiny store hosted artists, filmmakers, musicians, writers, and surfers and the Pilgrim clothing brand grew organically from there, initially working with a few small factories in the Garment District, to today, partnering with Beams of Japan, and opening stores in Tokyo and Kyoto, to compliment their new Brooklyn Flagship.
